Ivana’s husband died suddenly, she was left alone with three minor children, “my daughter has a tumor in her hand, she is in Belgrade for treatment, I have no way to go see her”. he tells us tears. Nikola (11), Nevena (10) and Milica (8) suddenly lost their father a year and a half ago. Mother Ivana, who is currently unemployed, is taking care of them, which makes the situation even more difficult.
“I want to work, because of the children, I applied everywhere, I should start on the first of May, I will clean the streets, but it is a job for two months, after that I don’t even know what I will do” – Ivana tells us. He also adds that their daughter Nevena (10) is not with them at the moment because she has a tumor in her hand and was operated on, and it is the hardest for Ivana that she is not with her.
The room where the children sleep is full of moisture and mold, the school and the store are 4 kilometers away, and their only wish is to have their own room.
